I’m Ray Gouchie, owner of Vancouver Island Fly Fishing and guide on the Cowichan river, along with other rivers and streams on the island. I’ve been fishing since a young age but my love for fly fishing developed when I moved to the Island in 1995.
Drifting the Cowichan river, even when I’m not guiding, is one of my favorite past times. I truly enjoy sharing my love of fly fishing, especially with those who are new to the sport. Join me on the Cowichan river and I’ll show you all that this heritage river has to offer. I have had the privilege of participating in two videos produced by Fishing BC and in my off-season, you will find me guiding for cutthroat and bull trout in Eastern British Columbia.
